Ajitrade (Thailand) Co., Ltd (ATT) is a group company which handles the sales of the products of Ajinomoto Co., Inc. (AJI) in Thailand, and imports raw materials and packing materials for Ajinomoto (Thailand) (AJT). ATT handles a wide range of AJI’s products including raw materials for cosmetics, amino acids, flavor seasonings, umami seasonings such as MSG, Activa, and sweeteners. ATT established "Ajitrade Cosmetics Application Center" (ACAC) through the collaboration with Specialty Chemicals Department of Ajinomoto Co., Inc. in ATT. The opening ceremony was held on that day in traditional Thai style, with the invitation of 9 Buddhist monks. ACAC plans to develop applications of cosmetics and toiletry products targeting not only the Thai market but also the markets of other Asian countries. Until now, this operation was handled by the laboratories of Ajinomoto Co., Inc in Kawasaki. However, in order to expand the sales in growing Asian markets, ACAC was established in Bangkok, in the center of the Asian market. By using raw materials that can be procured in Asia, and developing formulation unique to Asia, it is possible to meet the customers’ needs with speed. With its location closer to the market, the employees of ATT aim to develop products by more precisely grasping the needs of the market, and to contribute to the sales and the expansion of Ajinomoto Group products.
